Vinosha Abigail Thevarajah, Founder of Theva Law
From an early age, Vinosha was drawn to the legal profession and envisioned a career where she could apply her advocacy skills to make an impact. She began shaping this vision at age 16 by working at a boutique law firm, gaining early exposure to the demands and rewards of legal practice.
Vinosha went on to complete her Honours Degree in Psychology from York University and entered the Common Law Program at the University of Ottawa in 2012, being called to the Ontario Bar in 2016. Her career includes valuable experience at two Toronto-based boutique personal injury firms and as corporate counsel for Sears Canada Inc. in downtown Toronto before she launched her own practice.
Specializing in residential real estate, wills and estates, small business law, short- and long-term disability, and family law, Vinosha is a skilled negotiator who values building meaningful relationships with her clients. She is proud to serve clients in both Tamil and English.
Vinosha also teaches Medical-Legal Ethics to medical students and international doctors at Medskool Reviews as they work toward Canadian medical licensing. She is an active member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Tamil Bar Association, and the South Asian Bar Association, and serves on the Women’s Committee for the Canadian Tamil Chamber of Commerce.
Outside of the office, Vinosha enjoys traveling with her family.
